Boeing has unveiled its 787 Dreamliner interior at a media launch giving the public its first glimpse inside the third test flight aircraft which had been partially configured for flight purposes.

The 135-seat partial cabin set up for tests including noise levels, emergency oxygen systems and air flow, showed off the new electric windows, extra headroom, and larger lavatories.

"This airplane is specifically configured to test the passenger experience elements of the airplane," said Tom Galantowicz, Commercial Airplanes Director of 787 Interiors.

In other Boeing news, the airline manufacturer has indicated to the Seattle Times that it may look to cutting the 787-300 variant after both Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways switched their -300 orders to other variants.

As the plane had been designed specifically for the Japanese market the two airline's withdrawal could effectively see the program dropped.
